Fellow Judoka,
You are invited to attend the next Police Sport UK Judo training weekend
and team match against the Spanish Police which is being held at the Welsh
Institute of Sport, Cardiff between the 11th and 13th April 2008.
I have attached a letter of selection to your Chief Officer, requesting
duty time and assistance with finance, you should print this off, add the
requisite names in the space provided and then submit with a covering
report to your line manager. There is also a booking form that should be
printed off, completed and attached to your payment and sent to me.
The weekend is being heavily subsidised by Police Sport UK and will only be
open to Police Officers/Police Staff/ Specials and PCSOs who are current
members of their own Forces Sports clubs. Accommodation will be at the
Holiday Inn Hotel in Cardiff City centre and just a short distance away
from the Welsh Institute of Sport.
There are limited places available and these will be on a "first come first
served" basis, so the sooner you have a cheque and booking form to me the
better your chance of a place. Neil Adams will be coaching during the
technical sessions and the Spanish team and Welsh squad will be with us for
the whole weekend. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who can make
it.
There are non residential places on the course (open to civilian friends
and family as well) at a cost of £20 per person, but they will need to
arrange their own accommodation and meals.
The itinerary for the weekend is as follows:
Friday 11th April 2008:
2.00pm - 5.30pm - Arrival and book in at Holiday Inn, Cardiff
6.30 pm - 8.30pm Randori in the Upper hall at the WIS
8.30 pm - 9.30pm Dinner at the Holiday Inn
Saturday 12th April 2008:
07.30am - 9.00 am - Breakfast Holiday Inn
10.00 am - 12.00 - Technical training - Guest Coach - Neil Adams MBE
12.00 pm - 1.00 - Lunch (not provided)
1.00 pm - 3.00 - Technical Session - Neil Adams MBE
3.00pm - 4.00 - Team Match Police v Spanish Police
4.00 pm to 5.00 - Randori
6.30pm - 9.00pm Dinner at Holiday Inn
Sunday 13th April 2008:
07.30am - 9.00am - Breakfast Holiday Inn
10.00 am - 12.00pm Technical training/Grading (9th Kyu to 5th Dan) WIS
12.00 pm - Delegates depart
